Transmedia Storytelling
In the Sean Rosen series, you learn
about Sean's life from both the books
and Sean's online videos.

In this hands-on workshop, students
create an original story using both
writing and video, creating a clear
narrative combining the unique
qualities of two very different ways of
communicating.

40 minutes to an hour, in two or three
sessions.

Also available as a one-day
Digital Storytelling Workshop that
focuses on audio and video.
Writing Master Class
A hands-on writing workshop
in which students create
original stories, using one of
Sean Rosen's videos as a
jumping-off point.

Jeff gives a professional
critique of students' stories
with specific
recommendations,
emphasizing the basics of
good storytelling - believable
characters you care about,
and stories where you want to
know what happens next.

A one or two day program.

Stories from Real LIfe
Using multi-media chapter
readings from the books and
some of Sean's short videos,
Jeff shows students how Sean
turns events and characters
from his life into compelling
stories that can grab and hold
an audience.

Drawing from his writing career,
Jeff shares specific tips and
exercises that students can use
for everything they have to write.

An entertaining presentation for
small or large groups, 40
minutes to an hour.
Jeff Baron's school visits are inspiring and entertaining multi-media
presentations. Using the Sean Rosen books and videos as a jumping off
point, Jeff focuses on students' own writing, sharing techniques he uses in
his own
career as an award-winning playwright, screenwriter and novelist.
All programs are for grades 3-8, in person or on Skype, for reasonable fees.

Presentations are customized based on the group's size, grade level, and English
curriculum. Jeff's original exercises make writing fun.

Here are some of his programs:
"Working with Jeff has been wonderful for the students at
Ardsley Middle School.  They've learned about the process of
writing as well as the effective habits of a real life writer.
Through example, Jeff has taught them about the importance
of research, integrity, and grit in writing."
